UNACCEPTABLE: U.S. Ambassador meets with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat – ACT below
Sep. 12, 2021
Justice For All statement on acting Ambassador Atul Keshap’s meeting with Mohan Bhagwat:
The Sept. 8 meeting of the acting Ambassador Atul Keshap, with Mohan Bhagwat is unacceptable. His tweet, glorifying the meeting as a good one, is despicable. No person keeping US interests at heart should be normalizing a fascist, Nazi inspired organization, the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, or RSS, which Mr. Bhagwat leads.
The United States has lost its credibility as a leader and a champion of Human Rights in the world over the last two decades, first by the “war on terror” and reached a nadir during the Trump years. It is time that we as a country regain our leadership position in human rights.
We are confident in the Biden administration’s commitment to human rights without finagling issues for regional powers. Breaking bread with Hitler and Nazi inspired individuals & groups is not kosher.
We call on the State Dept. to immediately distance the United States from Mr. Keshap’s visit. We also ask that he be removed and not be considered for any position of influence in the administration.
Save India From Fascism
