Proclamation in Honor of His Excellency Attorney General Abubacarr Tambadou
WHEREAS, God Sent All Prophets to help people establish Qist- Fairness, Equity and Justice,
WHEREAS, God says whoever saves one life- it is as if he had saved mankind entirely,
WHEREAS, The Greater Muslim Community of the Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland region dedicates this night of celebration to the nation of The Gambia and it’s Justice Minister, His Excellency Abubacarr Marie Tambadou in their fight against the genocide of the Rohingya people,
WHEREAS, His Excellency Abubacarr Tambadou is honored tonight for his extraordinary courage and dedication for bringing forth the claim of genocide of the Rohingya people by Burma’s military and government officials in August of 2017, to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the highest court in the world,
WHEREAS, From December 10-12th of 2019, His Excellency represented Rohingya Genocide survivors at the ICJ on behalf of his nation, The Gambia, at The Hague, Netherlands,
WHEREAS, We are honored to acknowledge the work His Excellency and The Gambia have done to fight for the hundreds of thousands effected by the horrendous Rohingya Genocide in Burma,
WHEREAS, His Excellency has prosecuted the perpetrators of the genocide in Rwanda,
WHEREAS, His Excellency Abubacarr Tambadou is a true hero like His namesake, Khalifa Abu Bakr Siddiq (ra), and an inspiration to all individuals present here tonight, and the international community abroad in standing for justice in the face of terrible atrocities,
NOW THEREFORE, We, the Muslim leadership of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia, ask all our residents to join us in proudly honoring and celebrating His Excellency for his profound accomplishments and inspiring example of commitment to Qist- Fairness, Equity and Justice,
