As Israel destroys homes in the West Bank at an unprecedented rate, Western media adopts the framing of “controlled demolitions.” This framing erases the reality of Palestinians rendered homeless in a push to cleanse them from their homes and their lands ethnically, the destruction of civilian homes as punitive punishment, and Palestinians who are killed as these homes are bombed to the ground.
