Burma Task Force: Write To The Office of the Refugee Relief & Repatriation Commissioner

Last week, the Rohingya Majlis leaders from Cox’s Bazar camps went to Bhashan Char under the supervision of Bangladesh Army and Navy. Many of the Rohingya kept isolated there pleaded with their visitors to re-united them with family members in the other camps. Humanitarian agencies and human rights groups have consistently deplored the use of Bhasan Char floating island as a location for refugees. In addition to previous concerns, recent reports indicate that the water is unsafe.
