Justice For All joins Illinois Leaders on bond reform
Muslim American human rights group Justice for All joined Illinois faith leaders in signing a letter urging state lawmakers to enact bond reform. It led to the passage of the Pretrial Fairness Act in January of 2021 and was signed into law last February. On the anniversary of the law’s adoption, advocates plan to celebrate the victory and strengthen the movement for pretrial freedom in Illinois. The law will be fully implemented in 2023. Justice for All is inviting supporters to sign onto another letter reminding state lawmakers of the moral and religious imperative to support the act.
