Statement on Church Attacks in Pakistan of August 16 2023

The attacks on churches in Pakistan on Aug. 16, 2023 is deplorable, and Justice For All joins other fair minded organizations in extending our empathy to the victims. We condemn the attacks on Christians and expect that the Pakistani authorities act with fairness so that the ones responsible are punished. We hope that a swift response will deter further attacks in Pakistan against Christian, Hindu, Sikh and other minorities, and we hope Muslim clerics will institute a teaching and training schedule which will instill in the Muslim masses that the majority community is responsible for protecting minorities rather than wantonly attack them in mob fury.
