Following a humiliating loss, fans of the racist Maccabi team began rioting. Unlike other post-game riots in which police respond appropriately, Israelis used to acting with impunity, are now crying wolf.
These Israeli hooligans, descending upon Amsterdam for a soccer match, began exhibiting violent behaviour the day before, attacking a taxi driver and tearing down Palestinian flags while police looked on. Chanting genocidal slogans they were armed and instigating violence.
