Justice For All Calls for Accountability: Bringing Israel’s Actions Against 6 Year Old Hind Rajab to the International Criminal Court
Justice For All, an organization accredited with the United Nations Department of Public Information (DPI) and dedicated to upholding human rights worldwide, solemnly announces the submission of a detailed report to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the tragic case of Hind Rajab—a 6-year-old Palestinian girl whose life was brutally taken in Gaza by Israeli forces. This submission falls under the jurisdiction of the Rome Statute, aiming to address and challenge the killing and maiming of Palestinian children in conflict zones, specifically in Gaza, by Israeli military actions.
Our submission highlights the egregious violation of international humanitarian law and the Rome Statute, detailing the specific circumstances leading to Hind Rajab’s death and the broader pattern of violence against Palestinian children. On January 29, 2024, Hind and her family were targeted while evacuating Gaza City, resulting in the death of five family members and leaving Hind severely injured. Despite efforts to rescue her, including coordination with the Israeli Occupation Forces for an ambulance dispatch, the forces bombed the ambulance, further demonstrating a willful disregard for civilian life and international legal protections.
Our legal framework underlines the violation of articles of the Rome Statute and the Geneva Conventions, emphasizing the protected status of children in conflict zones. The detailed allegations recount the harrowing events leading to Hind’s death and the subsequent discovery of her body, alongside her family members and two paramedics, after 12 days.
Justice For All implores the ICC to recognize these acts as war crimes and to initiate a comprehensive investigation to hold those responsible accountable. This case underscores the urgent need for international intervention to prevent further violations and to ensure justice for Hind Rajab and the countless other children affected by such conflicts.
We stand in solidarity with the victims and their families, reaffirming our commitment to advocating for justice and human rights for all, and in particular those that are the most vulnerable. As we submit this document to the ICC, we call upon the international community to join us in seeking accountability and ensuring that such atrocities are not repeated.
Justice For All is resolute in its pursuit of justice for Hind Rajab and all children who have suffered in similar circumstances. We will continue to work tirelessly to advocate for their rights and for the protection of human life in genocide zones worldwide.
Respectfully,
Justice For All
